Honeywell and Rhombus unite to revolutionize cloud-based security solutions

Honeywell has teamed up with Rhombus to expand its cloud-connected security offerings. The partnership will introduce new AI-powered video solutions to Honeywell's existing portfolio. Both companies aim to deliver integrated access control and video management through a single cloud platform.

The collaboration brings together Honeywell's access control systems with Rhombus' modern cloud video technology. Rhombus specialises in an open, cloud-managed security platform that combines cameras, access control, sensors, and alarm monitoring in one interface. According to Billal Hammoud, President and CEO of Honeywell Building Automation, the partnership merges Honeywell's expertise with Rhombus' AI-driven video capabilities.

The companies plan to integrate Rhombus' AI analytics directly into Honeywell's access control platforms. This will allow customers to manage security operations more efficiently. Initially, Rhombus products will be available through Honeywell's channel partners and system integrators in North America before expanding to other regions. Industry data from Omdia suggests that cloud video solutions are growing by over 20% annually. This segment is expected to remain the fastest-growing in the security sector through 2029. Thousands of organisations already rely on Rhombus for smart security solutions that enhance safety and streamline workflows.

The Honeywell-Rhombus partnership will roll out cloud-based security solutions with embedded AI features. These systems will first launch in North America before reaching global markets. The combined technology aims to provide a unified platform for access control and video management.
