Honda's Africa Twin model, specifically the CRF1100L variant, has been summoned back in India due to a problem with the electrical wiring.

In an effort to ensure rider safety and ownership satisfaction, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced a recall of certain motorcycles. The affected models include the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin, Harley-Davidson Harley Davidson Pan America 1250, BMW F900 GS Adventure, Ducati Multistrada V2 2025, and Moto Guzzi V85 TT.

The recall is due to a potential issue with the harness wire connected to the left handle switchgear of these motorcycles. Over time, oxidation at the joint terminal of the harness wire may lead to potential electrical conduction issues. This could cause the horn to stop functioning or difficulty switching the headlight from low to high beam. The issue is believed to be caused by continuous steering movement of the handlebar, causing the harness wire to bend continuously.

BigWing Topline, the authorised dealership network for Honda in India, will proactively contact customers for vehicle inspection and repair. The manufacturer will replace the affected parts at no cost to the customers. Customers can check if their motorcycle is included in the recall campaign by entering the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on Honda's official website. Honda advises customers to book service appointments in advance to avoid delays.

Meanwhile, Honda has also unveiled its first electric motorcycle, the Honda WN7, with a claimed range of 130 km. The upcoming Ducati Multistrada V2 2025, which is not part of the recall, is expected to cost ₹ 17 Lakhs. No new information about any other upcoming bikes in India is provided in this paragraph.

The replacement work for the recalled motorcycles will commence at BigWing Topline dealerships from the fourth week of January 2026. This recall highlights Honda's commitment to rider safety and ownership satisfaction, underscoring their dedication to maintaining the quality and reliability of their products.
