Hollywood stars Bullock and Aniston bucking the trend of competitive stardom, nurturing a strong friendship instead of fueling a rivalry.
In an insightful interview with Vanity Fair magazine, U.S. actresses Sandra Bullock (61) and Jennifer Aniston (56) shared their perspectives on the evolving landscape of female friendships in Hollywood.
Bullock, who won an Oscar for her role in "The Blind Side", revealed that during their time in the industry, there was a mindset that discouraged women from being friends, with a focus on pitting them against each other. This reportedly changed around 15 years ago, marking a significant shift in the industry.
Aniston, known for her iconic role in the sitcom "Friends", echoed Bullock's sentiments, stating that the industry's mindset has moved away from fostering competition among women. This change has allowed them, among others, to form genuine friendships.
Bullock and Aniston are set to collaborate in the upcoming witch comedy "Practical Magic 2". Their friendship has been a source of inspiration for many, symbolising the new era of female camaraderie in Hollywood.
Currently, Aniston plays TV anchor Alex Levy in "The Morning Show" on Apple TV+, with season four expected in September. Bullock, who made waves in 1994 with the film "Speed", is reportedly best friends with Aniston and was welcomed into her inner circle around 15 years ago.
Their friendship serves as a testament to the changing dynamics in Hollywood, where women are now encouraged to support and respect each other, fostering a more inclusive and empowering environment.
