Good news for all government employees in Kuwait! The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is all set to announce the public holiday schedule for Arafat Day and Eid Al-Adha for Hijri year 1446. Here's the breakdown!

Mark your calendars for these religious holidays:

  • Arafat Day (9 Dhul Hijjah 1446): Prepare for a day off on Thursday, June 5, 2025.
  • Eid Al-Adha (10 Dhul Hijjah 1446): Take a well-deserved break on Friday, June 6, 2025.

In line with the Cabinet decision from April 29, this means that work will be suspended in all ministries, government institutions, and public bodies on these days. The holiday will span from Thursday, June 5, to Sunday, June 8, 2025. To make up for the Friday off, Monday, June 9, 2025, has been designated as a day off in lieu, and regular working hours will resume on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

Government institutions with unique operational requirements will have their holiday schedules determined by their respective authorities, considering public interest.

Meanwhile, the CSC is eager to roll out six automated services for government employees. These services pertain to employment status amendments, appointments, external transfers, experience calculations, job title changes, and end-of-service settlements. The CSC has emphasized their commitment to transitioning toward a paperless system. These services were originally unveiled on the CSC 'X' platform on April 30.
