"Alexander Hoffmann, CSU's New Leader, Accuses Refugee Aid Organizations like Pro Asyl of Orchestrated Staged Events"

CSU Leading Figure, Hoffmann, Voices Criticism Against Pro Asyl - Hoffmann, the leader of the CSU's group, assails Pro Asylum.

In the recent development, Alexander Hoffmann, the new head of the CSU parliamentary group in the Bundestag, has made some serious allegations against refugee aid organizations like Pro Asyl. This follows the illegal return of three Somali asylum seekers at the German-Polish border, which was declared so by the Berlin Administrative Court.

In an interview with the "Augsburger Allgemeinen," Hoffmann suggested that the case of the three asylum seekers from Somalia demonstrated "preposterous stages" and pointed towards a "staged event." He made particular reference to Pro Asyl's active involvement at border crossings, advising refugees to discard their IDs, making deportation from Germany more difficult due to the complications arising from lack of identification.

In the same case, one of the three asylum seekers, who was originally of legal age during the initial entry attempts, suddenly claimed to be a minor during the third attempt. According to Hoffmann, during this time, the ID documents showed signs of forgery. Furthermore, all three had new mobile phones that couldn't be traced back to their travel routes, another piece of evidence that Hoffmann deemed as indicative of a "staged event" orchestrated by asylum activists.

Pro Asyl immediately refuted these accusations, asserting that these claims bore no resemblance to reality. They emphasized that they are a human rights organization that supports refugees in court and that this was exactly what they did in the case of the three Somali asylum seekers. Pro Asyl also categorically denied advising people to discard their IDs or buy new phones. In their view, these accusations were nothing more than an attempt to undermine their efforts.

In a recent ruling by the Berlin Administrative Court, it was determined that the return of the three Somalis at a border control in Frankfurt (Oder) was illegal due to unclear EU country responsibility and the lack of proving an emergency situation to justify suspending EU law. Despite being sent back to Poland, the three asylum seekers are now back in Berlin, as a spokesperson for the Senate Administration for the Interior confirmed.
