Banning from Tennis Council: Controversial Comments and Apology
Waseem Haq, a member of the British Tennis Association (LTA) council, faced the consequences of his words after sharing a post on social media. However, the LTA found the post unacceptable and incompatible with their values. The association removed Haq as a council member due to his comment, citing that it did not reflect the LTA's position or beliefs.

Apart from his council position in British tennis, Haq holds seats on the council of the English Football Association (FA) and the board of the English golf governing body (England Golf). The future of Haq's roles with these organizations is still unclear, as the FA is currently investigating the matter.
