In the women's 50m breaststroke heats, national swimmer Phee Jinq En competed valiantly but was unable to advance to the semi-finals, finishing 30th overall with a time of 31.78 seconds. Meanwhile, Sarawakian diver Elvis Priestly Clement made his world championship debut on July 26. In the men's 10-metre platform event, Clement and his partner Enrique Harold secured a semi-final spot. They delivered a combined total of 374.70 points, placing 7th out of 48 competitors after six dives at the OCBC Aquatic Centre. Unfortunately, Harold failed to advance to the next round, finishing with 323.45 points.

Clement will compete in the semi-finals of the men's 10-metre platform tomorrow at 10am, aiming to improve his standing. The semi-finals are scheduled for 5.30 pm the same day.

Malaysia also participated in swimming events such as the men's 4x100m medley relay, where the team recorded a time of 3:46.80 and ranked 25th in the heats. Additionally, Malaysian swimmer Steve Khiew competed in the 400m freestyle, but there are no indications of medal finishes for Malaysia in these events at this championship.
