Historical Milestone in Kashmir: Royal Springs Golf Club Holds Inaugural Pitch & Putt Golf Tournament
In the heart of Kashmir, the Royal Springs Golf Club played host to the first-ever Pitch & Putt golf tournament, marking the launch of Season 2 of the India Tour of PAR 3 MASTERS. The event, organised by Can and Able Entertainment, was a resounding success, attracting 64 participants across categories, including amateurs, seasoned golfers, and lady players.
The tournament saw some exciting competition, with Ghalib M. Shah emerging victorious in the Men's Category and Reem Khanday claiming the title in the Female Category. Qazi Fasi won the "Accuracy Drive - Closest to the Pin" contest, adding another layer of excitement to the event.
The PAR 3 MASTERS, established in North India, is India's premier Pitch & Putt tournament series, according to Rajan Sehgal, President of the Indian Golf Tourism Association. Munish Arora, Founder of Can and Able and President of the Indian Pitch & Putt Association (IPPA), expressed his enthusiasm about the future of Pitch & Putt in India, setting the foundation for more Pitch & Putt events across the country.
Royal Ranthambore was the Celebrations Partner, and IGP was the Gifting Partner, adding a touch of grandeur to the tournament. The event also served as a platform to showcase Kashmir as a land of peace, further encouraging tourism, as noted by Mr. Mushtaq Burza, Chairman of Ahad Group of Hotels.
The Srinagar edition of the PAR 3 MASTERS not only celebrated competitive golf but also highlighted Kashmir's world-class infrastructure and scenic beauty. Dr. Farooq Abdullah, emphasising the event's importance, participated in the tournament.
