The Secret Manor: A Tale of Tragedy and Injustice

Get ready for the revamped rendition of The Secret of Le Chi Manor, a timeless theatrical masterpiece penned by the late author Hoàng Hữu Đản. Directed by IDECAF's own Quang Thảo, this two-hour drama will take you on an emotional rollercoaster set in the later Lê dynasty. Quang Thảo, a veteran actor with over 20 years in the theatre scene, is behind some groundbreaking productions like Wealthy Dream and Once Upon a Time.

The plot revolves around the unjust death of national hero Nguyễn Trãi and the tragic aftermath that ensues. The story unfolds as King Lê Thái Tông visits Trãi's manor, befriending his intelligent wife, Nguyễn Thị Lộ, who is played by actress Hoàng Trinh. As the King falls gravely ill and passes away that night, his court frames Trãi and his wife for treason, launching a tragic chain of events that results in their execution, as well as the execution of three generations of both families.
