Historic castles' concerts led by a UK TV star abruptly terminated following liquidation of organisers
In a disappointing turn of events, five UKAC Productions concerts have been cancelled, including the highly anticipated UK Proms in the Park events at Pendennis Castle in Cornwall and Bolsover Castle in Derbyshire. The events, scheduled for September 6 and 20 respectively, have been called off due to the sudden liquidation of the organiser, UKAC Productions.
The cancellation has caused disappointment among festivalgoers who were looking forward to the events, which were set to be hosted by TV judge Robert Rinder, with a mysterious "powerful vocalist" and the group Iglu and Hearty, known for their hit Then Boom, which reached number five on the UK charts.
Frontman Jarvis Anderson announced the cancellation of the tour on Instagram due to sensitive personal reasons received late last night. Fans have been wishing the band well and expressing their eagerness for a rescheduled tour, with one fan writing a supportive message, "Devastating indeed, but us fans are here waiting for when it's rescheduled. Hope all ok, sending love."
The cancellation does not involve English Heritage, as they were not the organisers. English Heritage, the charity managing Bolsover Castle, has announced the cancellation of the Proms event at Bolsover Castle on September 19 and 20.
Anderson expressed his disappointment and promised to work towards revisiting the UK in the near future. The cancellation of the events comes just days after a "huge noughties band" were forced to cancel one of their tours.
Festivalgoers are advised to contact their ticket provider for refunds regarding the cancelled events. The Dance Anthem Orchestra concerts on September 5 at Pendennis Castle, Cornwall, and on September 19 at Bolsover Castle, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, have also been cancelled.
UKAC Productions had organised a variety of exciting events to be held at castles across England this September. The organisers are yet to make any official statement about the possibility of rescheduling the cancelled events.
