Prince Harry Goes After the British Government Over Security

In a bold move, Prince Harry stormed into a London court to challenge the British government's decision to downgrade his level of taxpayer-funded security while he's in the UK. This legal spat has been brewing since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior royals in 2020.

After the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec) decided to scrap the couple's automatic security, Harry, the fifth in line to the throne, isn't taking it lightly. He's accusing the committee of being biased and playing favorites, claiming that he's been singled out.

Meanwhile, the government argues that Ravec has to handle matters on a case-by-case basis. Harry's legal team, however, isn't backing down. The prince wants to ensure his children, Archie and Lilibet, feel safe and at home in the UK, just as much as in their California abode.

Apart from this heated courtroom drama, it's been a tumultuous year for Harry. Recently, he stepped down from the Patronage of Sentabele, the charity he co-founded in honor of his mother, following accusations of bullying and misogyny from its chair, Sophie Chandauka. Harry denies these allegations and resigned in shock and heartbreak. The UK charities watchdog has now launched an investigation into these claims.

Still, the British press can't seem to leave the prince alone. In January, Harry scored a "monumental victory" by settling his case against Rupert Murdoch's British newspaper group over unlawful information gathering[1][2]. He's been a vocal critic of press intrusion, blaming it for his mother's untimely death in 1997.

It's safe to say that Prince Harry's life is anything but dull. As he battles it out with the government and the press, one thing's for sure – the royal drama continues.
