High school student from Aliquippa, Pennsylvania succumbs to gunshot wounds inflicted by an ATF agent, hospital confirms.

In a tragic turn of events, a shooting incident occurred in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, on Thursday evening, leaving a 17-year-old student named Kendrick Lamar Curtis dead. The incident took place around 6:20 p.m. on Waugaman Street at the Linmar Terrace housing complex.

Kendrick Lamar Curtis, a student at Aliquippa High School, was rushed to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he later died at around 3 a.m. on Friday. The community is in shock, and an emotional and tense scene was reported in Beaver County, with a large police presence.

Mayor Walker has appealed for clarity and calmness, asking people to wait for facts before making judgments. He expressed his prayers for the victim and his family, urging the community to come together during this difficult time.

Local authorities, including the Aliquippa Police Department, the Beaver County Sheriff's Office, and the Pennsylvania State Police, are investigating the incident. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are also involved in the joint investigation. The reasons for their presence are not immediately clear.

Nine police vehicles were present near the shooting scene, and witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots during the incident. The ATF and FBI agents are providing support to the investigation as needed.

In response to the incident, a Trauma Support Team will be on-site at Aliquippa High School on Friday during student arrival. The school district will also have resources throughout the day as needed for students.

As the community awaits more details surrounding the shooting, Mayor Walker's call for patience and understanding resonates. The focus remains on supporting Kendrick Lamar Curtis's family, friends, and the entire Aliquippa community during this challenging time.
