High School Cross Country Competition Results in Sheridan, Johnson County, Spanning September 11-13, 2025
In the recent Gillette Invitational held in Gillette, Wyoming, the Sheridan boys' team finished in a commendable fifth place, with Eli Balkenbush being their top runner, placing fifth overall. The Lady Bison team also competed, finishing third out of four teams. Grace Perkins from Tongue River came in seventh place for the girls' competition.
The Bison team, led by Ethan Rayo, showed a strong performance, finishing second out of five teams. Rayo, from Buffalo, clinched the first place for the boys' competition.
Meanwhile, at the Douglas Invitational, Tongue River competed alongside three other teams. Grace Perkins and Kade Shideman, representing Tongue River, finished seventh and fifth respectively for the girls and boys' competitions.
Looking ahead, the cross country scene in Sheridan is set to heat up as the Michelle Ludwig Invitational approaches on September 20th. The event will take place at the VA Medical Center in Sheridan. Results from the boys and girls' competitions in the Bozeman, MT Invitational can be found online.
In the Bozeman Invitational, the Sheridan team placed second in the boys' competition, while Lyla Marney from Big Horn finished sixth in the girls' competition. The results for both competitions can be found online for those interested.
