High-profile royal pair assembling "thrilling circles"
The much-anticipated Easter tournament hosted by BV 04 is set to commence on April 9th, with the opening match taking place at the Eiskeller wine bar. This tournament marks the return of BV 04's A-Juniors after a significant break.
Prince Axel I. and his Venezia Jula were instrumental in conducting the draw for the tournament, ensuring a fair and exciting competition. The event also saw a charitable donation presented by tournament director, Martin Meyer, to the royal couple.
The tournament will feature teams from Germany, Japan, Portugal, the Netherlands, Croatia, England, and Ghana. Group 1 will consist of BV 04's A-Juniors, Werder Bremen, the Japanese University Selection, Sporting Braga, and FC Utrecht. Group 2 will include Fortuna Düsseldorf, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Dinamo Zagreb, FC Everton, and the Right To Dream Academy from Ghana.
Marcus Giesenfeld, the tournament's sporting director, expressed his excitement about the groups, stating that the competition promises to be fierce and unpredictable. When asked about favourites, Giesenfeld remained neutral, emphasising the importance of every team's preparation and performance.
