The Cape-WT10, with a length overall of 33ft, is a modern trimaran that emphasizes speed, stability, and ease of handling. It boasts a spacious and appealing interior, perfect for short cruises, and can be trailered across Europe when folded for added convenience.
The trimaran's light displacement of 2,100kg, combined with its advanced sail plan, is expected to enable speeds up to 30 knots. It offers both outboard and inboard engine options, ensuring flexibility for different sailing conditions.
The first Cape-WT10 boat is expected to be completed in time for the Solent season of this year, and it will belong to White Tip Race Academy, a new race school in Haslar. White Tip Race Academy will facilitate boat tests, trimaran lessons, and multihull races, providing opportunities for sailors to experience this exciting new vessel.
The design of the Cape-WT10 is the work of Francois Perus and Romain Scolari of Yacht Design Collective. Known for their innovative designs that balance performance with comfort and usability, this collaboration promises to deliver a trimaran that is both fast and practical.
The Cape-WT10 is built in South Africa and is designed to meet the minimum LOA of 30ft for multihulls in RORC races, including the Fastnet. With an expected price of €425,000, the Cape-WT10 is intended for use in the Solent and can be towed to the South of France.
