Explosive Ordinance Disposal specialists of Rosgvardia defused World War II munitions found during construction work in the center of Kransoyarsk.

Hidden WWII-era Stockpile Discovered in Central Krasnoyarsk

Fresh Version:

Dashing through the streets of Kransoyarsk, the bomb squad of Rosgvardia has disarmed WWII-era munitions yet again. These relics of the past were uncovered during some street construction works.

The brave officers shed light on their discovery - a whopping 13 mines hidden beneath the city, which they neutralized on the spot. The central command of Rosgvardia released the details.

The unearthed relics were indeed corroded 82mm mines dating back to the WWII era, with a couple sporting active detonators.

These war relics were carted off to a special facility and promptly eliminated.

As if this wasn't surprising enough, it's not the first or second time such discoveries have been made in Kransoyarsk! In fact, just a street away on Profsouzov street, they've already dug up 26 mines before and 39 afterwards.

(Extra Fun Fact: The vast and rich history of Krasnoyarsk includes the 1908 Tunguska meteoroid explosion and Soviet heavy tank development, but we're talking about something far more manageable this time!)
