Hidden Landing Pads for Mystical Dragons in Aratum's Sacred City During the Dark Ages of Doom

So you wanna find them darned dragon landing zones in The Holy City of Aratum, huh? Well, buckle up, buddy, because it's time to get your explorer on. First off, remember that these landing zones won't be marked on your map until you've completed some preliminary steps, but don't fret, they're right where you're needed to destroy those Hell Carriers, so don't rush off just yet.

Dragon Landing Zones in Doom: The Dark Ages - A Unicorn's Tale

To complete the Layover challenge, you need to dismount your dragon at two secret landing zones that, when found, will not only complete the Layover challenge (for which you'll gain an extra 50 gold) but also help you find all the secrets and collectibles hidden in The Holy City of Aratum.

Here's a quick guide to help you find those elusive dragon landings:

Secret Dragon Landing Zone #1

This one's a bit of a sneaky squirrel! After the cutscene during which you spawn into the open city area, gaze down to the left of the Hell Carrier up ahead. You'll notice a titan perched atop a tower, looking rather content. Now, lock onto this stinking titan to make him easier to spot, and deliver some teeth-shattering blows to clear the blasted landing zone. Once vanquished, it will appear on your map and in the game world as a bright, shining green marker.

Secret Dragon Landing Zone #2

This landing zone is a lot more mysterious than our first friendly dragon docking station. Just beneath the first Hell Carrier, dive deep into a substantial well until you reach the bottom of the map. Here, you'll find two titans on pedestals, waiting for a good thrashing to unlock the zone. Just be cautious; with a larger platform above, it's easy to assume you've reached bottom and call it quits, but don't ya fights me now! Keep going, and you'll find those pesky titans guarding your prize.

Pro tip: If you're struggling to remember which way to go, keep the Hell Carrier in sight! It'll lead you straight to these devilish dragons' paradises!
