Although it has already snowed heavily on the Wasserkuppe, a few more centimeters would be ideal to operate the lifts. Despite no snow cannons in Hoherodskopf, Vogelsberg, and Großer Feldberg, Taunus due to nature preservation concerns, natural snowfall is all they rely on.
Snowmaking and LED lighting upgrades have resulted in a slight hike in ticket prices for adults on the Wasserkuppe to €22, while children’s prices remain the same at €17. In contrast, the price of a day ticket in Hesse's largest ski resort, Willingly, increases from €36 to €38, citing inflation-driven energy costs.
