Actor Knaup: "I need the city" - Herbert Knaup: A City Lover's Appreciation for Diversity and Culture

Actor Herbert Knaup, known for his role as Markus Gellert in the ARD crime series 'The Law Firm', has expressed his appreciation for the diversity, cultural exchange, and museums that cities offer. Despite growing up in the countryside, the 69-year-old considers himself a true city dweller.

Knaup has lived in Berlin for 25 years, currently residing in a house with a garden on the city's outskirts to provide a quieter environment for his youngest son. Previously, he spent eight years in Hamburg and six in Cologne, reflecting his preference for areas with vibrant theater and film scenes.

Contrary to recent speculation, there is no confirmed information about a long film adaptation of 'The Law Firm' starring Knaup being produced in the regions of Vierlande and Marschlande for the 2025 period. While Knaup has appeared in other ARD productions like 'Die Kanzlei', no specific plans for such a film adaptation have been announced.

Despite the lack of confirmation regarding the film adaptation, a second feature-length film based on 'The Law Firm' is set for release at the turn of 2025. Knaup's appreciation for city life and his preference for areas with thriving arts scenes suggest that he will continue to be involved in prominent film and theater projects.
