New Album Fulfilled His Big Wish - Herbert Grönemeyer Releases 'Unplugged 2' – A Fresh Take on Classic Hits

German music legend Herbert Grönemeyer has released 'Unplugged 2 – Von allem anders', a sequel to his iconic 1995 MTV Unplugged performance. The album, released on October 17, 2025, features 22 reimagined older songs and four guest vocalists.

Grönemeyer approached this project as a personal challenge, resulting in a distinct setlist from the original 1995 concert. He admitted that revisiting old songs in the studio evoked different emotions. The album was recorded over a year at various locations, including Hansa Studios and the RBB Broadcasting Hall.

The album includes a brand-new ballad, 'Flieg', produced by Lucry & Suena. Grönemeyer also collaborated with the 64-member Berlin Radio Choir to re-record his 1984 hit 'Flugzeuge im Bauch'. Four guest vocalists, Lea, Balbina, Peter Fox, and Berkan, contributed to the album.
