Henry Cavill has been cast as Connor MacLeod in the upcoming Highlander reboot. However, production has been delayed due to Cavill's injury, which he sustained during intense training preparations. The actor has shared updates on his recovery via social media.
Cavill's injury, which occurred during pre-production, has pushed back the filming start to early next year. Despite the setback, Cavill has been actively recovering through physical therapy. He previously shared a poem, Invictus, and later gave fans a look at his injury on Instagram, referencing the video game Planescape: Torment.
The reboot's cast also includes Jeremy Irons as an unidentified baddie leading a group called The Watchers, and Dave Bautista as the lead antagonist, The Kurgan. Russell Crowe will portray Ramirez, MacLeod's mentor. The production team is eager to resume filming with Cavill once he has fully recovered.
