Separated by a mere 40 centimeters, Japanese prodigy Shizu Yohena and Spanish striker Isa Drammeh share a common vision: To lift the Bremen state cup on Saturday evening. The diminutive and agile Yohena promises to leave a mark against the higher-ranked BSV, while Drammeh is set to be the cup's poacher.

Drammeh's ruthless finishing prowess stood out in the latter half of the season: In a stunning 11 matches, the attacker scored an astounding 19 goals, bolstering his team's dominance in the championship race.

Chemistry is vital because we communicate a lot. The size difference doesn't matter.

Yohena at Hemelingen

More than his minor stature, Yohena's move to Bremen captivates. Unlike traditional transfers, Yohena's journey was far from ordinary. When Hemelingen succumbed 0:3 to Bremer SV in the previous year's cup final, Yohena was still living in Boston, USA. Watching the final on YouTube, he decided to join forces with SVH as reinforcement.

"I simply sent them a highlights video of myself," the 25-year-old Yohena reminisces on our website: "Then I was invited to a trial training - and I delivered."

Coach Güunter Tuncel initially considered the application a prank. But when the tiny Japanese player showed up and dazzled with his ball mastery, Tuncel was impressed. "A superb footballer," Tuncel thought immediately, and on a personal level, they hit it off. "Disciplined and courteous," Tuncel describes the midfielder, summarizing him as an exceptional individual.

From Spain to the Weser

The signing of Drammeh turned out to be a serendipitous move for SV Hemelingen. With the coaching duo Güunter and Feyhat Tuncel at the helm, they brought the striking talent from the Spanish fourth division to Bremen in winter. "Isa exudes exceptional qualities," asserts Feyhat Tuncel: "Güunter and I are convinced he can compete at a higher level and make a name for himself there. If he delivers, third-division teams will undoubtedly take notice of him."

Drammeh quickly acclimated to life in Germany. His camaraderie with teammates and coaching staff was instant. "Feyhat and Güunter have been pivotal, guiding me both on and off the pitch," says Drammeh, looking ahead to the momentous game on Saturday: "Now I hope that together we can win the cup." A hope echoed by everyone within the club. Since the final victor will participate in the DFB-Pokal next season.
