Helena Fürst, a familiar face in the world of reality TV, has been battling in silence. Known for her controversial and direct style, she's got a certain charm that's earned her a cult status among fans. But her journey hasn't always been cheers and applause.
The TV celebrity was once a mainstay, thanks to her engaging presence on RTL as the "Lawyer of the Poor" and her stint in "jungle camp" in 2016. Her outspoken nature made her a hot topic, sparking both admiration and criticism.

But along with the fame came the mockery. She's heard her fair share of unkind comments, from questions about her appearance to insinuations about her lifestyle. Yet, Helena Fürst takes it all in stride.
In 2020, during a routine MRI, an incidental finding changed her life forever. A benign meningioma was discovered in her brain. This wasn't surprising, as she hadn't shown any symptoms prior. However, just a few months after the diagnosis, Helena Fürst started experiencing "lightning-like" pain on the right side of her body and ringing in her ears.
Subsequent medical reports revealed that the tumor had spread to the auditory canal and was growing into it. The recommended treatment was a surgical reduction of the tumor followed by radiotherapy. But Helena Fürst chose a different path. The risks involved in operating in that area of the brain were too great. "No doctor could assure me they could remove even a part of the tumor without causing irreversible damage," she says.
For months, Helena Fürst was dependent on cortisone due to the swelling in her brain. The side effects, including visual and speech disorders, were often misinterpreted. "The visual and speech disorders were a consequence of the pressure on various areas of the brain, including the trigeminal nerve."
Currently, she's much better, thanks to individual therapy. She's fortunate to have survived this ordeal, and she's hoping for more. However, not everyone has been as understanding or supportive. "Some of them know I have a brain tumor. They've expressed their dismay to me."
This cutthroat industry, according to Helena Fürst, is filled with deceit and hypocrisy. "As soon as the cameras go on, nothing else counts." She's spoken out against former colleagues who've turned against her when the cameras were rolling, betraying their supposed friendship for the sake of ratings.
Despite her health challenges, Helena Fürst continues to make appearances on entertainment shows, inspiring others with her resilience. She's also using her platform to raise awareness about brain tumors and advocate for better medical research and support for patients.
