Heino's unexpected adventure on the highway

With Bavaria blanketed in heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures, the trio of folk musician Heino, his manager Helmut Werner, and singing partner Anita Hegerland ventured onto the icy highway for an evening drive. Their serene journey was disrupted when the right front tire of Heino's Bentley burst suddenly.

However, an unusual stroke of luck was in store for the three of them. Finding themselves in a dreadful situation, they were comfortably situated near an exit and, to their surprise, discovered a well-lit rescue service facility in the distance.

A chilling surprise in the cold night

Reflecting on the ordeal, Heino described it as an unnerving experience. "The shock of it all swept over us like a wave. Suddenly, we found ourselves standing there in the freezing cold, cold darkness, seemingly abandoned in the middle of nowhere," he recounted to the newspaper.

Luckily, the rescue service facility was just a stone's throw away, and the group was able to seek warmth and nourishment within its walls. Grateful, they downed some coffee and warmed their chilled bones before ADAC towed them safely home.

Heino's guardian angel

"I firmly believe she watches over me from heaven. The fact that nothing worse happened in these treacherous conditions is more than a coincidence for me. The rescue center's proximity was just another testament to her protection," Heino confessed.
