Los Angeles - Heidi Klum, the 51-year-old model, has announced her return to the long-running fashion competition series, 'Project Runway'. In an interview with 'People' magazine, Klum expressed her excitement about coming back to the show, stating, "It felt like coming home." Klum previously hosted the show for 13 years and 16 seasons before model Karlie Kloss took over in 2018.
The new season, scheduled to air on July 31, will air on Freeform, Disney+, and Hulu. Speaking about her role as host, Klum said, "I can do this with my eyes closed, although I'm judging clothes - so I have to keep my eyes open. But I can do it with my eyes closed."
Klum revealed her affection for the participants' passion and the opportunity to provide a platform for upcoming talent in the fashion industry. Personally, she expressed a preference for longer gowns and dresses, but emphasized the importance of individual expression. "That's what makes us unique and special, rules aren't the right way," she said.
The upcoming season will consist of 10 episodes, with judges Nina Garcia and Law Roach joining Klum. Christian Siriano, a well-known alumnus and Season 4 winner, will take on the mentor role. The show is produced by Spyglass Media Group and Alfred Street Industries.
This revival marks a comeback for Klum in the fashion reality TV world. The two-episode season premiere airs on July 31 starting at 9:00 p.m. EDT on Freeform. Subsequent episodes will follow weekly at 10:00 p.m. EDT. The show will then be available to stream shortly after each episode airs on Freeform via Hulu and Disney+.
