Heidi Klum experienced playful ridicule over her given name
Heidi Klum, the renowned German supermodel, is set to host a special event in her hometown of Munich. On September 18, 2025, the Hofbraühaus will play host to the "HeidiFest," an exciting gathering that promises to be a prelude to the much-anticipated Oktoberfest.
Klum, who will turn 52 that year, will be joined by a star-studded lineup, including Jürgen Drews, The Weather Girls, Michelle and Eric Philippi, Wildecker Herzbuben, Peter Kraus, Schick Sisters with Opus Band, Thomas Anders, Roberto Blanco, Kerstin Ott, Hermes House Band, Lucas Cordalis, Haddaway, Michael Holm, Lou Bega, Kristina Bach, Howard Carpendale, Nik P., Marianne and Michael, Vincent Gross, Ross Antony, and Münchener Freiheit, with some surprise guests yet to be revealed. The event will also see the attendance of Alessandra Ambrosio, Sasha, Bill Kaulitz, Tom Kaulitz, Leni Klum, Henry Samuel, Johan Samuel, Lou Samuel, and other celebrities as guests.
Born and raised in Germany, Klum has an interesting relationship with her name. While she was often made fun of as a child due to its uniqueness, she now embraces it wholeheartedly. In an interview with the "Bild" newspaper, she spoke about the name-related teasing she experienced, which often involved jokes about her name being similar to those of people and animals.
However, Klum believes her mother chose her name for a reason. She learned to yodel as a child, a skill that has become synonymous with her public persona. Despite the initial dislike for her name, Klum now has a positive view of it and the associated clichés.
Interestingly, Klum has never attended Oktoberfest before. She plans to rectify this by attending on the first day of the event. Despite the upcoming "HeidiFest," Klum's first love remains modelling. She was a contestant on "Germany's Next Topmodel," a testament to her enduring passion for the craft.
The "HeidiFest" promises to be an unforgettable event, bringing together music, culture, and the spirit of Munich. With Klum at the helm, it is certain to be a celebration that will be talked about for years to come.
