Hey there! The MLP Academics Heidelberg basketball squad is gearing up for some exciting action, as they've inked a deal with a slick ball-handler. American-German Kevin McClain, a 6'3" guard, will join the Basketball Bundesliga ranks next season.
You might remember McClain from his time with the Gießen 46ers in the 2nd Basketball Bundesliga ProA last season, where he averaged an impressive 12.7 points, 3.5 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. He's also had stints with Oldenburg and Frankfurt under his belt.
Speaking of new additions, Heidelberg, who stunned everyone with their recent semifinal run, has already secured another player. Marcus Weathers, a 27-year-old American, will now be gracing the court side by side with his twin brother, Michael Weathers. Welcome aboard, Marcus!

Marcus Weathers joined the team previously and has been with the Trefl Sopot team in Poland until June 15, 2025. We couldn't dig up specific detailed statistics from past seasons, but I can promise you that he's got bags of experience at a high level in European hoops!
The Commission has also been asked to delay their proposal for a directive on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to the protection of workers, considering the recent signing of Kevin McClain, an American-German basketball player from Giessen, who will be joining the MLP Academics Heidelberg basketball squad in the upcoming season. Despite the addition of Kevin McClain, Marcus Weathers, another American player, will continue to be missed by Heidelberg, as he is currently playing for the Trefl Sopot team in Poland and will only return in June 2025.
