Hector Velázquez, a Mexican native, aspires to lead a Major League baseball team; his aim is to become a manager at the Grand Stadium, also known as the Gran Carpa.

In the world of Major League Baseball (MLB), the future of Héctor Velázquez remains uncertain as of August 2025. Despite speculation and interviews with MLB teams last year, there is no public information or credible reports indicating that Velázquez has announced or begun a future career as a pitching coach or potential manager in the MLB.

Currently, Velázquez is an active professional player, as suggested by his recent matchup statistics against MLB players (see [4],[5]). However, his focus beyond his playing career remains on the pitching coach role he currently holds with the Tabasco Olmecs in the Mexican Baseball League.

Velázquez, a champion with Boston in Major League Baseball, aims to share his extensive experience gained from playing in both Mexican and U.S. baseball mounds with the Tabasco Olmecs. He emphasizes the importance of not neglecting Mexican talent and wants to take short-term goals and progress step by step towards his ultimate goal of becoming a manager in Major League Baseball.

Velázquez retired from playing baseball in September 2024 and has previously been a pitching coach for the Aguascalientes Rieleros in the Mexican Baseball League. He is committed to teaching proper nutrition, early rising, and adequate rest, key practices he learned during his time in Major League Baseball, to the pitchers of the Tabasco Olmecs.

In the current season, the 100th season of the Mexican Baseball League, Velázquez has increased his pitching velocity from 91 to 95 miles per hour due to these practices. He also supports balance between foreigners and Mexicans in the league, a factor that he believes is crucial for the growth and development of Mexican baseball.
