On a gloomy Friday morning, a heart-wrenching tragedy unfolded in Delhi's Najafgarh area. A 26-year-old woman named Jyoti, along with her three little ones, all aged 7 or below, perished when an old house crumpled amidst the battering rain and strong gusts.

Confined and crushed under the debris, rescuers, comprising the police and the fire department, valiantly attempted to free the family, but to no avail. Tragically, upon reaching Rao Tula Ram (RTR) Memorial Hospital in Jafarpur Kalan, the four were pronounced dead.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Ankit Singh, it all began at 5.26 am when a harrowing phone call alerted them to a house collapse in the Kharkhari Nahar village near Jaffarpur Kalan. Upon arrival, they discovered that a towering neem tree had been uprooted by the winds, landing on a makeshift structure, causing it to caved-in.

The heartbroken husband, Ajay, managed to escape with minor injuries to his chest and wrist. IANS reports he was discharged following a dose of first aid. Ajay hails from the same neighborhood as the stricken family.
