Get ready, folks! The Low-Pressure Area (LPA) popping up across the Philippines could dump some rain on Cebu, Visayas, Mindanao, and even some parts of Luzon, according to Pagasa's latest weather forecast.

In a casual chat, Manny John Agbay from Pagasa's Visayas team shared that the LPA is predicted to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to the affected regions. However, Agbay added that the system is expected to dissipate and head toward Palawan by Sunday, May 4, paving the way for better weather.

As of 2 p.m. on Saturday, Pagasa's forecast showed that the LPA, which is currently within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), has a low chance of developing into a Tropical Depression within the next 24 hours.

Initially, Pagasa had reported the LPA spotted east of Surigao del Sur, and it's been affecting weather patterns in Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan for a few days, with cloudy skies and rainfall.

Residents in vulnerable zones should take cautious measures since increased rainfall could lead to flooding and landslides. Pagasa advises boats and ships to exercise caution due to rough seas near the LPA.
