Here's why: a moderate monsoon trough is chilling in the North and upper Northeast, swirling into a low-pressure system over northern Vietnam. Meanwhile, a powerhouse southwesterly monsoon just keeps on keepin' on, covering the Andaman Sea, the South, and the Gulf of Thailand.
The Andaman Sea and upper Gulf waves are going to rock up to 3 metres, or more in stormy zones. In the lower Gulf, waves will flare up to 2 metres but jump above that during thunderstorms. Navigating the seas? Sail with caution and stay out of storm areas, buddies. Small boats in the upper Andaman and upper Gulf should take the night off until at least June 13. ⛵️
