Heavy metal dinosaur group Heavysaurus resumes with a fresh album and upcoming tour.
Heavysaurus, the world's first dinosaur metal band, has announced their METAL Tour 2026, set to take place across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The tour will kick off with a concert in Hallwang, Austria, on February 6, 2026, followed by a performance in Kusel, Germany, on February 21, 2026.
The tour, spanning throughout 2026, will consist of 39 total events, according to available information. However, specific dates in Switzerland or additional German/Austrian cities have yet to be detailed. Tickets and further updates can be found through the listed ticket platforms.
Heavysaurus, founded in 2017, is a German heavy metal band known for their cool, strong, wild, and slightly humorous music. The band is based on the concept of the Finnish band Hevisaurus, which was launched in 2009. Frank Beck (Gamma Ray) embodies the frontman Mr. Heavysaurus in live performances, while Michael Voss of the band Mad Max provides the vocals under the pseudonym Mr. Heavysaurus.
The band's upcoming album "METAL" is scheduled for release on January 30, 2026. The album, which includes humor, attitude, and a mission to inspire children for music, is comparable to the musical style of Sabaton, Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Volbeat.
Christof Leim, Mathias Brede, Jürgen Steinmetz (Sons of Seasons), and Philipp Klinger (The New Black) are members of Heavysaurus, representing the characters "Riffi Raffi", "Milli Pilli", "Muffi Puffi", and "Komppi Momppi" respectively. The band's music features anthemic choruses, driving riffs, wild solos, and interactive fun, making it a musical adventure that gets both children and adults dancing, singing, and headbanging.
In addition to their music, Heavysaurus is committed to supporting "Die Arche", an organization for disadvantaged children. One euro from every ticket sale goes directly to the cause, while an additional 50 cents supports measures such as concert visits and other special activities.
