New Chief Senior Public Prosecutor Takes Office in Ulm
Andreas Freyberger, a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the justice system, has officially begun his tenure as the Chief Senior Public Prosecutor in Ulm.
Freyberger, who was born in Ulm, started his career at the District Court Schwäbisch Hall in 1996. His journey in the justice system has been marked by various significant roles, including his time at the Regional Court Heilbronn, the Administrative Court Stuttgart, and the Public Prosecutor's Office Heilbronn.
In 1999, Freyberger was seconded to the Ministry of Justice, where he held a position in the criminal law department and was later appointed as the chairman of the personnel council. He left the Ministry in 2009 to become the acting head of the Public Prosecutor's Office Mosbach, and later the Chief Senior Public Prosecutor there.
Freyberger returned to the Ministry of Justice in 2005, following a trial secondment at the Higher Regional Court Stuttgart. He then moved on to head the Public Prosecutor's Office Ellwangen in May 2013, a position he held for over twelve years.
During his time at Ellwangen, Freyberger accurately identified and implemented necessary changes with great skill and motivation. His leadership was recognised by Minister of Justice and Migration Marion Gentges, who described him as someone who knows what it means to lead a Public Prosecutor's Office.
Freyberger is succeeding Christof Lehr in Ulm, who recently retired. As he begins his service in Ulm's Public Prosecutor's Office, Freyberger is moving from Ellwangen to his hometown.
Minister Gentges spoke highly of Freyberger, praising his professional unquestionability and organisational talent. She also highlighted his experience in handling important topics such as organized crime during his time at the Ministry.
The Ministry of Justice and Migration can be contacted via their press office or citizen's representative for further information.
With his extensive experience and proven leadership skills, Freyberger is expected to bring a fresh perspective and continued excellence to Ulm's Public Prosecutor's Office.
