Get Ready for the MEO Kalorama Festival in Lisbon!
Mark your calendars for June 19, 20, and 21 as the Bela Vista Park will be hosting the 4th edition of the MEO Kalorama Festival! With a whopping 20,000 people expected per day, it's bound to be an unforgettable event. To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, traffic restrictions will be in place.
The local PSP, in partnership with the Lisbon City Council, the Marvila Parish, and the festival organizers, has announced that traffic restrictions will begin at 8:00 AM on June 18 and will continue until 4:00 AM on June 22. The aim? To reduce traffic congestion, boost safety, and facilitate free flow of vehicles during the event.
Residents and shop owners with a residence certificate, as well as individuals with disabilities and event vehicles, are exempt from these restrictions.
Here's a breakdown of the Traffic Restrictions for June 19 to 21 (8:00 AM to 4:00 AM):
- Arlindo Vicente Avenue with José Régio Avenue
- João Palma Ferreira Street with Ferreira de Castro Street
- Luísa Neto Jorge Street / Ferreira de Castro Street
- Avelino Teixeira da Mota Avenue with Luísa Neto Jorge Street
- Avelino Teixeira da Mota Avenue with Cidade de Bratislava Avenue / Roundabout Access
- Avenida da Ucrânia
- Bela Vista Roundabout with Avenida Ucrânia and Av. Marechal Spínola access
- Bela Vista Roundabout with Avenida Dr. Arlindo Vicente
Also, be aware of the Parking Suspensions:
- Av. Dr. Arlindo Vicente, from gate 3 and the Main Entrance’s downhill side - From 8:00 AM on June 18 until 8:00 AM on June 22
- Luísa Neto Jorge Street, from Av. Dr. Arlindo Vicente and Rua Ferreira de Castro (both sides) - From 8:00 AM on June 18 until 8:00 AM on June 22
- Luísa Neto Jorge Street, near the Taxi Square - From 8:00 AM on June 18 until 4:00 AM on June 22
The PSP advises using public transportation or event support services to access the festival. If that's not possible, they suggest avoiding parking in unauthorized zones, using public parking lots, and checking if routes aren't restricted to automobile traffic.
On-site, make sure to follow "police instructions strictly" and secure your vehicle, avoiding leaving valuables inside. Enjoy the festival, and stay safe!
