Has a second live Oasis track been indeed leaked during their reunion tour?
Oasis, the iconic British rock band, has made a comeback with a bang, releasing two live tracks from their current reunion tour. The first live Oasis track to receive an official release was "Slide Away", recorded on the opening night in Cardiff three weeks ago. The second live track, "Cigarettes & Alcohol", was recorded before 340,000 fans at Heaton Park in Manchester on 11 July.
The live version of "Cigarettes & Alcohol" concludes with Liam Gallagher saying, "See you later, it's good sht man, good sht, innit?" as hundreds of thousands of fans provide backing vocals. The track is reminiscent of Johnny Rotten's delivery in the original version.
The reunion of Oasis has caused a resurgence in their popularity, with songs like "Don't Look Back In Anger" and "Live Forever" re-entering the UK Top 20. The band's albums, "What's The Story?" Morning Glory" and "Definitely Maybe", have also re-entered the Top 5 in the album chart.
In addition to these live tracks, Oasis is set to release a Deluxe 30th Anniversary edition of "Morning Glory" on October 3. This edition is one of the upcoming Oasis archive releases, along with the box set of the Complete Studio Album Collection, which will be released on August 22. Two more Oasis archive releases are expected to hit the shops in the coming weeks.
The Complete Studio Album Collection box set and the Deluxe 30th Anniversary edition of "Morning Glory" are not new recordings, but rather archival releases. Oasis had previously released several live albums, such as Live by the Sea (1995), There and Then (1996), and Familiar to Millions (2000), but these do not feature new or recent recordings postdating the reunion live tracks.
After the live versions of "Slide Away" and "Cigarettes & Alcohol", Oasis released no other live tracks publicly recorded or distributed as of now in the Live '25 reunion tour context. The confirmed live track releases in 2025 from the tour are "Slide Away (Live from Cardiff, 4 July 2025)" and "Cigarettes & Alcohol (Live from Manchester, 11 July 2025)".
Tomorrow, Oasis will be performing at Wembley Stadium for the first time as part of their current reunion tour. With the band's comeback and the release of these live tracks, it seems that the "Wonderwall" of nostalgia is here to stay.
