Snow in the Harz attracts numerous visitors - Harz Mountains blanketed in snow, drawing crowds despite closed ski slopes

Fresh snow has covered the Harz Mountains, drawing large crowds over the weekend. Visitors flocked to the region despite many ski facilities remaining closed. Parking areas in popular spots quickly filled up as people arrived to enjoy the winter conditions.

The sudden snowfall brought sledding enthusiasts to Braunlage, St. Andreasberg, and Torfhaus. Several sled lifts in these areas opened and operated at full capacity. However, ski lifts and slopes stayed shut, leaving skiers without access to the runs.

The Harz region will see continued snowfall, keeping temperatures low and slopes covered. Sled lifts remain a key attraction, while ski facilities stay closed for the time being. Visitors are advised to check local updates before travelling, as parking and access may be limited.
