Haredi demonstrators obstruct Jerusalem's entry, causing train damage
In various parts of Israel, protests have erupted in response to the arrest of Eliyahu Nahum, a haredi draft-dodger. The Jerusalem Faction sect, in particular, has taken to the streets, organizing demonstrations at the Givat Shaul junction in Jerusalem.

The protests were instigated by directives from yeshiva leaders who view Nahum's arrest as 'criminal' and 'a sin against Torah study.' The leaders of the Jerusalem Faction have organized these events, with protests also taking place in Bnei Brak, Modi'in Illit, Beit Shemesh, Safed, and surrounding areas.
The Israel Police, however, have made it clear that they will allow freedom of expression within the framework of lawful protest. They emphasize that they will not tolerate disruption of public order, road blockages, or any illegal activity that endangers public safety or the daily routine of road users.
