Harburg Shooting Guild Honours Past Kings, Current 'King of Kings'
The current king of Schützenheimfeld in Harburg remains uncertain, as no records of the place or its ruler, the 'lds', could be found. Meanwhile, a nostalgic event honoured past kings, with Peter Kreitmayer, the current 'king of kings', playing a significant role.
Last Friday, a carp fish eating event was held, a tradition that brings together former kings of the Harburg shooting guild. Notably, only one picture was hung - that of Borhen Azzou. Azzou, active in the event industry, is remembered as the longest serving post-war king, having reigned for four years after shooting the bird's body in 2019. His reign was marked by a three-year hiatus in the bird shooting event due to Corona.
Peter Kreitmayer, who was king in 2012/2013, attended the event. Kreitmayer, now the 'king of kings', received Azzou's picture as a tribute. He and his wife were among the attendees who honoured their former colleague.
While the current king of Schützenheimfeld remains unknown, the Harburg shooting guild paid tribute to their past, with Borhen Azzou's reign and Peter Kreitmayer's continued involvement being highlighted. The carp fish eating event served as a reminder of the guild's rich history and traditions.
