Harbored Tranquility
The Dojo Taisei, a Karate club founded in 2001 by Dietmar Vetten, has recently relocated to the Sportpark Niederheid. This move was driven by the opportunity for better development, as the new location offers improved facilities and a more accessible location.
The head trainer and founder of the Dojo Taisei, Dietmar Vetten, holds a 3rd Dan rank in Karate. He, along with co-department heads Marco Kiernan (2nd Dan) and Jens Förster (1st Dan), places a strong emphasis on character development in addition to teaching Karate.
With the inclusion of Karate in the Olympic Games, the sport has experienced a worldwide boom. This growth has not been limited to the competitive scene, as clubs like the Dojo Taisei are seeing an increase in membership and interest.
The members of the Dojo Taisei, including the trainers, aim to quickly grow their Dojo and attract new members at the Sportpark Niederheid. To achieve this, they plan to offer diverse class schedules, host community events, and partner with local schools and organizations for outreach.
Weekly training for beginners aged 14 and above, and Karateka from the yellow belt, is held three times a week in the fitness hall of the Sportpark Niederheid. A children's training will be offered next year.
