Heavy snow and black ice caused chaos on Hanover’s roads over the weekend. Between Friday evening and Saturday morning, ice raids led to numerous vehicles skidding or getting stuck in snowflakes. Police had to respond to multiple calls about cars losing control on icy patches. Several roads were temporarily closed to allow for clearing operations. Most of the accidents resulted in minor bodywork damage. Despite the difficult driving conditions, the 21 accidents caused delays but no major harm. Roads were eventually cleared and reopened after snow and ice were removed. Drivers were advised to remain cautious as wintry conditions persisted in the area.
