Ha Noi FC Parts Ways with Coach Makoto Teguramori

Ha Noi FC has announced the departure of Japanese coach Makoto Teguramori, who had taken charge of the team during the second half of the 2024-25 season. The news was shared on the club's official homepage on Tuesday.

Teguramori, a former midfielder for Kashima Antlers and NEC Yamagata, joined Ha Noi FC with high hopes, but his tenure was cut short due to a string of disappointing results. The team has yet to secure a win in their first three V.League 1 matches, losing to HCM City Police Club, drawing with Hoàng Anh Gia Lai, and suffering a defeat against Ha Noi Police.

The team's sport is football, and their struggles have extended into the 2025-26 season. Teguramori attributed the team's disappointing start to a subjective mentality within the team, possibly due to the achievements of the previous season. However, the team's early exit from the National Cup after a 0-1 loss to Thể Công - Viettel further fuelled speculation about his departure.

Yusuke Adachi, a seasoned coach who has been with the club since June 2025, will take charge in the interim. Adachi's immediate challenge is to secure a positive result in the V.League 1 rematch against Thể Công - Viettel this weekend.

Teguramori began his coaching career at Vegalta Sendai and led the Japanese U23 team to victory at the 2016 AFC U23 Championship. Despite his successful coaching career, his time at Ha Noi FC ended prematurely, dashing hopes of an early championship push for the team.

The search for a new coach after Yusuke Adachi's departure in June 2025 is ongoing, but the club has not yet named a successor. Ha Noi FC will be hoping to find a coach who can turn their fortunes around and bring them back to the top of the V.League 1.
