Hannover's managing director, Marcus Mann, couldn't be more stoked about the new addition. "Titz brings a very clear philosophy, one that aligns perfectly with our vision for Hannover: he's all about being brave, intense, and setting the pace," Mann said, beaming.
The 54-year-old veteran will be joined by his trusty cohort, André Kilian, as the duo moves to the Lower Saxony state capital. Lars Barlemann will stick around, ensuring a smooth transition for the 96 coaching team.
Titz's tenure with Magdeburg saw him leading the former European Cup champions from the brink of relegation in the 3rd league to the upper echelons of the 2nd Bundesliga. With continuity and an offensive style of play just a couple of his hallmarks, the team's looking forward to some Grade-A, high-octane football in the near future.
Now, as the good ship 96 sets sail with Titz at the helm, the coaching post at Magdeburg will be filled by someone just as dynamic – Markus Fiedler. Fiedler's a 39-year-old prodigy, hailing from VfB Stuttgart II. Titz and Hannover's new Sporting Director, Ralf Becker, have a past, having previously worked together at HSV after the Bundesliga's relegation in 2018.
