Hey there! Let's talk about some exciting news from the world of handball. The badass crew over at Thuringian HC have some good vibes to share!

The Thuringian HC, known for their top-notch handball action, just got a double dose of fantastic news. Their captain, the outrageous talent Josefine Hanfland, decided to stay put for another two years. Komm censored continue ruling the court with her fierce moves and incredible skills.

Fun fact: Hanfland's been a vital part of Thuringian HC since 2017. That makes her a seasoned player with a ton of experience under her belt. So, expect nothing short of unstoppable performances from this powerhouse.

Not one to be left out, Italian Anika Niederwieseralso joined the extension party, signing on for an additional year. At 33, this lady's got the drive and determination that keeps her at the top of her game.

When asked about their decision, Hanfland said, "Erfurt's become my second home, and this extension means the world to me." She loves the team and their shared vision, and it shows every time she steps onto the court.

Niederwieser chimed in, "The team, our fierce fans, and the magical atmosphere in the Salza Hall make every game here something truly special." She also shared warm feelings for the city of Erfurt, which she's grown to adore.

This coming weekend, the Thuringian HC is gunning for an international victory. They're set to face Dijon in the semifinals of the European League on Saturday. It's a battle of the titans, as Bundesliga team Blomberg-Lippe and the Danish representative Ikast will face off in the other semifinal in Graz.

While we're stoked for these ladies and their upcoming match, it's worth noting that Europe isn't the only place they're making a name for themselves. Fellow handball squad, THW Kiel, has also been making waves. Currently sitting in 4th place (and just 5 points behind the leaders), they'll be playing VfL Gummersbach in an important upcoming match. And, in the DHB-Pokal semifinals on April 12, they'll be going head-to-head with Rhein-Neckar Löwen.

Stay tuned for more updates on these handball heavyweights! Catch you on the flippity-flop.
