HandOfBlood takes home Creator of the Year award at VideoDays - HandOfBlood Crowned Creator of the Year at VideoDays Festival Awards
The VideoDays Festival Awards concluded with a bang, honouring the best in online entertainment. HandOfBlood, the alias of Maximilian 'Hänno' Knabe, took home the top prize, being named Creator of the Year. The ceremony saw 19 trophies awarded, including a lifetime achievement honour for comedian Phil Laude.
HandOfBlood's impressive year was recognised with the Creator of the Year title. Earlier, he also won the 'Streaming' category award. His influence extended beyond gaming, as he hosted a two-hour Twitch livestream with then-Green Party chancellor candidate Robert Habeck. Tobias Schiwek, managing director of We Are Era, praised HandOfBlood for 'bridging worlds and driving real change through entertainment'.
The audience also had their say, voting for Mirko as their Newcomer of the Year. Running influencer Paula Enzweiler (Paula.enx) was honoured for her sports category win. Kurdish musician Baran Kok and web producer Marvin Wildhage also received awards for Speed and Investigation, and in-depth YouTube investigations respectively.
The VideoDays Festival Awards recognised excellence across various online platforms. HandOfBlood's Creator of the Year title capped off an impressive night, while Phil Laude's lifetime achievement award honoured a comedy veteran.
