Hamm Greens Go Harder in Election Agenda: "Climate-neutral Hamm by 2035" Back in Focus!
Hamm's Green party unveils election agenda
The Hamm Greens are revving up their game for the upcoming elections, targeting a stronger footing and fresh momentum. While focusing heavily on climate protection, they remain committed to their aim of establishing a carbon-neutral Hamm by 2035. They've set their sights on intensifying investments in climate-friendly mobility, green infrastructure, and sustainable urban development.
Greens Push for Equitable and Eco-friendly Road Space
The Greens advocate fiercely for a fair and eco-friendly distribution of road space. Pedestrians, cyclists, and public transit users should claim more territories and safety in traffic in the future. By reimagining streets as school streets, cycle streets, or play streets, traffic can be reorganized to benefit these commuters. Parking spaces could be repurposed creatively, transforming into city green spaces for a greener Hamm. To sustain the financial backbone of public transportation, the Greens are exploring novel revenue sources such as revising the city center's parking management system:
Greens Not Fielding an OB Candidate in Hamm Elections
The Green duo shuns the idea of fielding a Mayoral candidate in this election, attempting to differentiate themselves from other political parties. With a dose of realism, they aim to engender the most impressive outcome, fighting for the Green cause with full zeal. Reflecting on their past, they view their stint in the traffic light coalition positively and are determined to keep championing Green issues in the city council, targeting the Hamm citizens directly:
Nowak and Arndt Co-Lead Hamm Greens
The top guns at the Hamm Greens are Lisa Nowak and Matthis Arndt, both relatively newcomers to the Green Party. Arndt joined the ranks in 2021 and ascended to the post of deputy on the board. He is a project manager for the Association of General Practitioners Westphalia-Lippe in his professional life. Nowak hitched her wagon to the Greens around a year after Arndt and is currently chasing a doctorate at the University of Applied Sciences Hamm-Lippstadt.
