Hamminkelner SV maintains open personnel positions

Hamminkeln SV is set to kick off the new season in the district league this weekend, but the team will be missing several key players for their opening match against Sportfreunde 97/30.

Coach Erdal Dasdan will be without Lars Ortius, Nick-Constantin Otto, Leon Bender, Felix Enk, Romeo Burghardt, and Jan Stauder (due to work), as well as new signing Maurice Grootens, who is sidelined with patellar tendinitis. Finn Schurmann is recovering from meniscus surgery, while Mika Franzke is ill.

Despite the personnel changes, Coach Dasdan is optimistic about the upcoming matches. "I am looking ahead to the home games against Dingden and in Haldern," he said.

The Hamminkeln SV team managed to win their final warm-up game 8:6 against Genc Osman Duisburg, but Coach Dasdan is not drawing any conclusions from that game for the trip to Lowick. He has been closely monitoring Lowick's team during their preparations and warns against underestimating the opposition.

"Lowick has a strong counter-attacking threat, and we must be prepared for a tough match," Coach Dasdan said.

The majority of the hosts' squad has been filled with players from the second team, but only three or four players from last season's Landesliga team remain in Lowick. This could make for an interesting dynamic, as the Sportfreunde 97/30 team, coming from the Landesliga, is expected to play a subordinate role. However, Coach Dasdan sees it as a tough challenge.

The match between Hamminkeln SV and Sportfreunde 97/30 is set to take place on Sunday at 3 PM in Lowick. The new season for the district league begins this weekend, and it promises to be an exciting one for both teams.

The upcoming match against Sportfreunde 97/30 on Sunday will be a significant test for the depleted Hamminkeln SV team, as they are without several key players including Leon Bender, Felix Enk, and new signing Maurice Grootens due to various reasons. Coach Erdal Dasdan, however, remains optimistic about the season, specifically the home games against Dingden and Haldern. Despite Lowick's anticipated subordinate role, Dasdan warns against underestimating them, as they possess a strong counter-attacking threat.
