In an exciting development for Warhammer 40K fans, the upcoming Kill Team: Tomb World boxed set is set to introduce two new factions to the game. The set, which is due for preorder in a few weeks' time, is expected to release around September 2025.

The highlight of the Tomb World boxed set is the inclusion of the Chaos Space Marine Raptors, who will make their debut in the game's narrative as part of the new Warhammer 40K Kill Team: Shadowhunt boxed set. These high-speed aerial operatives, known as Murderwings, will feature jump packs that enable them to perform boosts for striking, demoralizing, or even grappling opponents mid-air. Equipped with heavy chainaxes, these fearsome warriors exhibit warp-fueled fanaticism under a Chaos Lord's command.

The Shadowhunt Kill Team also introduces innovative map layouts called Descent Killzones, which feature vertical play, fitting the Raptors’ aerial combat style perfectly. The Shadowhunt boxed set, which includes the Raptors, is anticipated to be released around early 2026, in the January to April timeframe.

The Tomb World season narrative will also see the return of the Adepta Sororitas, with potential new miniatures for Kill Team yet to be officially announced.

In addition to the new factions, the upcoming season will also see the return of the C'tan Shard of the Nightbringer, which has been updated and will serve as a "final boss" for a Kill Team squad at the end of the season. This Warhammer 40K model will be twice the size of the original and will feature more Necron digitization and robot scarabs.

Meanwhile, the Nemesis Claw squad is currently available for a slightly reduced price of $71.95 at Amazon. For fans in the UK, the price of the Nemesis Claw squad is currently £36.80 at Wayland Games.

The Tomb World season is expected to be a bit shorter than previous campaigns, but it promises to be action-packed and filled with exciting new gameplay features. With the addition of a full-fledged 'boss' to the Kill Team system, the upcoming season could be a game-changer for Warhammer 40K fans.

Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the preorder date for the Kill Team: Tomb World boxed set. Two new Kill Teams are expected to be revealed soon, promising even more opportunities for players to expand their collections and strategies.
