First Mayor Peter Tschentscher and market organiser Bernhard Paul, director of Roncalli Circus, kicked off the festivities with a toast of organic mulled wine. The Rathausmarkt location features around 80 stalls, offering everything from woodcarvings and jewellery to artwork and seasonal treats like roasted almonds, gingerbread, and nuts.
With its mix of traditional crafts, festive food, and lively atmosphere, the Rathausmarkt Christmas market is set to remain a key attraction. The city’s expanded security efforts aim to ensure a safe experience for the millions expected to visit this winter.
