Hamburg's leading golfer's route to the US Tour is outlined here.
Hamburg's Rising Golf Star, Christin Eisenbeiß, Aims for LPGA Tour Qualification
Christin Eisenbeiß, a 24-year-old golfer from Hamburg, is preparing to take a significant step in her career as she sets her sights on qualifying for the second stage of the North American LPGA Tour.
Eisenbeiß, who was trained and supported by Christian Lanfermann, Hamburg's Trainer of the Year 2019, has already made a name for herself. She won the German individual championship at the end of August, her last tournament as an amateur. This victory came after she had won three championships with HGC Falkenstein, including the German team championship in 2018, 2022, and 2024.
Eisenbeiß's path to becoming a professional golfer has been a long-term goal. She completed her marketing studies with a golf scholarship at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. While there, she had the opportunity to hone her skills and learn from the game's best, including Lanfermann, who also guided Esther Henseleit onto the LPGA Tour six years ago.
To reach the second stage of the North American LPGA Tour, Eisenbeiß must finish among the top 30 after three rounds in the pre-qualification tournaments in Florida from late September to mid-October. If she achieves this, she will advance to the Stage II of the LPGA Tour qualifying process.
Eisenbeiß does not feel any particular pressure yet, as she is treating the pre-qualification tournaments like a college tournament. Lanfermann's strategy for her path to becoming a professional golfer is to enjoy the experience and perform well, while aiming for the maximum goal.
Eisenbeiß has had discussions with Henseleit about her experiences in transitioning to the professional ranks. Henseleit (26), who was also in the team with Eisenbeiß when they won the German team championship in 2018, offers valuable insights into the challenges and rewards of professional golf.
Currently in Jacksonville, Florida, staying with a college friend for training purposes, Eisenbeiß will begin pre-qualification tournaments for the North American LPGA Tour on September 24th in Daytona Beach, Florida. If she does not reach the second stage of the North American LPGA Tour, she has a Plan B: qualifying tournaments for the European LET Tour starting December 10th in Morocco.
Eisenbeiß praises Lanfermann, saying she can always rely on him to make her a better player. She also knows many of the players from her time at the University of North Florida, which could give her an advantage in the competitive world of professional golf.
As Eisenbeiß embarks on this new chapter in her career, she is confident and determined. With the support of Lanfermann and the lessons she has learned, she is ready to take on the challenges that lie ahead and pursue her dream of becoming a professional golfer.
