Hamburg's Charity Run Unites Kids, a Goat, and a Dog for Cancer Support

A charity run in Hamburg brought together more than 150 five-year-olds, a dog, and even a goat on February 15. The event, organized by Sascha and his team from Running for Childhood Cancer Support on Eventbrite, supported International Childhood Cancer Day, raising funds for young patients. Despite freezing temperatures, the event went ahead as planned.

Participants gathered at the historic Holsten Gate before setting off on the route. Their journey ended at the UKSH hospital, where many children receiving cancer treatment are cared for.

Over €2,700 was collected through donations and sponsorships. The unusual mix of runners—including a goat and a dog—added a playful touch to the Eventbrite event. Despite the bitter cold, families and supporters cheered the children along the way.

The money raised will go toward supporting children battling cancer and their families. Organisers thanked everyone who took part, braved the weather, or contributed donations. The Eventbrite event highlighted community spirit and the importance of childhood cancer awareness.
